How Functional Strength Training Can Impact Your Knee and Hip Health TODAY.

No matter what age you are or stage of life you are in- here is how to start applying functional strength training for your hip and knee health right this minute.

Welcome back to another episode on the Be(ing)U Pod where we are talking all things knee health and hip/ knee connectivity today!

As a personal trainer and nutritional therapist I am a huge fan of strength training, and helping you understand why a functional approach is a best practice way to support your body in maintaining muscle mass, maintaining cognitive performance, and having an increased likelihood for functional independence for years to come.

Today we are exploring a hip- specific strengthening programme versus a functional motor control programme and which intervention will give you better knee and hip health in the long term.

This episode is for you if:

  • You have ever injured a knee or experienced a personal trainer saying “your knees move inward” and it has freaked you out beyond measure.

  • You are in your 20s or 30s, and want to know how to start functional strength training now so you have less to worry about in the future.

  • You are curious about what exercises specifically help maintain knee and hip health, and how to balance the best movements to stay connected and injury- free.
